At least one cretin here posts links to infected sites as “proxies.” Tread carefully! You would not give out your Yahoo account password to a stranger, so do NOT trust “proxies” that may be malware infested sites operated half way across the globe and are posted here by unknown individuals.
Malware authors are gleefully aware of folks trolling for proxies to try to bypass work and school blocking systems (which seldom works well, BTW) and will happily infect your machine for you.
Modern school and business access control system are proxy-aware and will not allow proxified traffic, even using “new” proxies. A proxied session is easy to identify and block, even if the proxy site has not been added to the explicit block list.
