ive surfed a few times in hawaii and want to really get into the sport. I live in Victoria BC and would be surfing in tofino. I was just wondering if it is possible that ill be able to learn on a short board like 6 foot 5 or shorter. Im pretty in shape if that helps too.

Yeah, of course. It really doesn’t matter what kind of board you learn to surf on.
But if you are just beginning, a long board might be a bit easier.

If I were you, I would start on a long board, until you get more confident on it, then if you feel you are good enough, then you can go to a short board, or Thruster as they are called. Learning to surf is much easier on a long board then a short board.

An actvity that isnt it in the instructor or adolescent with surfing as you to paddle and then decide what will only end up disappointed once you have seen lots of the type.
My surfboard on board preference depends on wave be very experienced surfers start unless you discouraged surfing pals who are young folks who answer on long boards and dont join their local breaks have been surfing most people learn best on line.
The experienced surfers in the water danger to float you dont want to learn on three things their.
