Where do skate & surf shops buy their merchandise at wholesale cost? I am looking for a company that will sell a fairly large variety of brand name merchandise to my company.

I”m looking for brands like O’Neil, Hurley, Quicksilver, Billabong, Rusty, etc.

Please list a company or website.

Hello everyone, how are you?
My wife & I are wanting to open a surf shop here in bakersfield,California where we live. If any of you have heard of it, it is sort of like a “PacSun” store. We want to sell Brand name clothes such as “Roxy”, Quicksilver, Hurley, Raisins, O’neil, etc, etc, all clothing & accessories. This will be our first business and were wanting to know from some of the more seasoned professionals out there what steps to take, to prepare and open it. I have already spoken with a retail person from Roxy/Quicksilver and she told me that they will not consider us for a new retail account to supply us with merchandise unless we have been an existing business for at least 1 year. All we want to sell is Beach style clothing becuase we know it will be a big hit here, there is only one other store that does it here. How do we get these suppliers to help supply our store if we havent opened yet? How do these other places “open up” with their store completely stocked.
